About Thea

I hold a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, with 12 years of experience teaching students from diverse academic backgrounds. My academic training allowed me to explore mathematics both theoretically and practically, helping me explain abstract ideas in clear, relatable ways that support deep understanding. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, structure, and encouragement. I carefully observe how students engage with problems and adjust my explanations to meet their individual needs. I believe that when students feel supported and understood, they gain the confidence needed to tackle challenging topics with determination. Beyond teaching, I remain actively involved with mathematics through problem exploration, curriculum refinement, and continuous learning. Teaching mathematics is meaningful to me because I see students transform uncertainty into clarity, developing confidence and reasoning skills that benefit them well beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes less intimidating when students understand the logic behind each step rather than memorizing procedures. My lessons are designed to build conceptual clarity through structured explanations, gradual progression, and consistent practice. I guide learners to recognize patterns, relationships, and reasoning processes that make mathematical concepts more intuitive and manageable.

Students begin with foundational topics such as arithmetic reasoning, algebraic expressions, equations, and basic geometry. As confidence grows, lessons expand into advanced algebra, trigonometry, calculus concepts, and applied problem-solving. I emphasize step-by-step solutions, clear notation, and logical reasoning, ensuring students understand both the process and the outcome.

Maths lessons strengthen analytical thinking, focus, and confidence. Over time, students develop the ability to approach unfamiliar problems calmly and systematically. My goal is to help learners trust their reasoning skills and view mathematics as a subject they can understand and apply with confidence.
