About Millie

My fascination with Mathematics began with an early love for patterns, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. I pursued an M.Sc in Mathematics Education to deepen my knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students through elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and introductory Calculus, helping them develop clarity, confidence, and independent analytical thinking. I teach with patience, attentiveness, and adaptability, tailoring explanations to each learner’s style using visual models, practical examples, and stepwise reasoning. I foster a learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are considered valuable learning experiences, helping students develop resilience, confidence, and curiosity. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged in mathematics through ongoing problem-solving, curriculum development, and research. Teaching Math is deeply rewarding because I witness learners gain independence, logical reasoning, and self-assurance. Supporting students in realizing their potential and achieving mastery is the most fulfilling part of my work.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes approachable and meaningful when learners are guided to understand the reasoning behind concepts. My lessons include elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, focusing on structured problem-solving, logical connections, and conceptual clarity. I provide a supportive and calm environment, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and the gradual development of confidence in tackling mathematical challenges.

Lesson content is adapted to the student’s level. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, arithmetic, and interpreting word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry, proportional reasoning, and foundational algebra concepts through visual aids and interactive exercises. Advanced learners focus on algebraic techniques, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts, emphasizing logical reasoning, accuracy, and practical application. Carefully selected exercises reinforce understanding and foster independent problem-solving skills.

Maths lessons also build patience, analytical thinking, and persistence. As learners gain conceptual clarity, they become more independent and confident in approaching unfamiliar problems. Many students develop an appreciation for mathematics as structured, logical, and rewarding. My goal is to help learners feel confident, capable, and motivated to excel in all areas of mathematics.
