I know Alex for many years both as a relative and as a Maths student. What I like the most about his attitude towards Mathematics is that he always prefers understanding theory/methods including the motivation for their very existence and limits of their application to rote memorisation. He is very good at explaining staff always trying to find a more effective way to do it based on individual(s) needs and way of thinking. During his time as Mathematics student at Queen’s University Belfast he was quite notorious for his ability to explain things successfully to any of his peers willing to ask for help. I believe Alex will be a very valuable addition to Superprof.
