About Oli
I am a recent graduate of mathematics and will be doing a master's degree next year in financial mathematics.
I want to teach because maths is beautiful and satisfying, but only when taught correctly. It's a shame that some students never discover this and want to show this to those that are willing. I understand how certain topics should be taught and understand what a student wants. At the end of the day you want to pass your exams. You will have to put in work, so you will want to do so optimally and without wasting time. I know which areas are crucial for deeper understanding and the best revision techniques to breeze through exams.

My online lessons focus on active problem-solving using an interactive digital whiteboard where we work through exam questions together in real-time. I don't just give away the answers, I understand the learning process and will pinpoint the reasons 'why' a student can't understand a topic which is, in my own experience, what is lacking at secondary school and sixth form. It's often hard in lessons to really ask the correct questions and teachers will often just resort to explaining 'how' something is done, which is bad for retaining information.
Who it’s for: GCSE, A-Level, and Further Maths students who want to clear up confusion and master their specific exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR).
Lesson Length: Standard sessions are 60 minutes. 90-minute slots are available for advanced topics.
My Qualifications: First Class Mathematics graduate and incoming Financial Mathematics Master's student. My own quantitative skills are razor-sharp, and I know exactly how to simplify tough topics.
