About Laura
I am a Mathematics Graduate from the North West of England. I currently live and work in Guildford as a Laboratory Technician. I’ve tutored many students during both high school and my degree. Helping other students achieve elevated grades at GCSE and A-level. I have also tutored students from younger years during my degree, in a variety of subjects which used mathematics, such as engineering, nursing and biology. I have also tutored many family members, helping them achieve excellent grades in mathematics and physics. I am flexible and easy going, and believe that everyone learns differently, so much of my tutoring will be tailored to you and how you learn best.

I have completed a degree in Mathematics with a variety of Physics modules, and as such tutor up to and including A-level for Physics, and up to and including degree level for Mathematics. I begin by trying to ascertain the weak spots in understanding through exercises and finding root causes such as gaps in background knowledge. I then create a tailored plan which will fill gaps where needed. I prefer to use examples and work through solutions together, understanding the steps as we go along, to ensure you understand and can repeat what has been learnt.
