About Sheikh
I am a mathematics graduate with a passion for teaching and helping students understand concepts in a simple and clear way. I have experience teaching students at home and online where I focus on building strong basics and making mathematics less confusing and more interesting. I believe every student can learn math with the right guidance, patience, and practice. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions freely and develop confidence in solving problems.

I approach teaching mathematics by emphasizing conceptual clarity and logical reasoning rather than memorization of formulas. For example, instead of asking students to directly apply the formula for a derivative, I first help them understand it as a rate of change, using simple real-life situations and graphical interpretations.
In algebra and number theory, I guide students step by step like simplifying expressions, understanding functions as mappings, or exploring properties such as divisibility—so they can see the structure behind the problem. When teaching topics like limits or sequences, I focus on intuitive understanding before moving to formal definitions.
During my home tutoring experience, I adapt my methods based on the student’s level. If a student struggles with basics like fractions or equations, I rebuild their foundation before moving to advanced topics like calculus or linear algebra. I also encourage multiple methods of solving a problem—for instance, solving a system of equations using substitution, elimination, or matrix methods—so students develop flexibility in thinking.
I regularly give practice problems, including proof-based and application-based questions, to strengthen analytical skills. I also connect mathematics to real-life contexts, such as growth models or basic optimization ideas, to show its practical relevance.
My aim is to help students not only solve problems but also understand the underlying mathematical structure, think logically, and develop confidence in approaching unfamiliar problems.
