About Elliana

My passion for mathematics grew from an appreciation for its logical structure and problem-solving elegance. This led me to complete an M.A. in Mathematics, where I explored both abstract theory and applied concepts. Over 8 years of teaching, I have worked with students to help them overcome fear and develop confidence through understanding.

I approach teaching with empathy and flexibility, recognizing that students experience mathematics differently. I adapt explanations to individual learning styles using visuals, analogies, and structured reasoning. Creating a supportive environment is central to my teaching philosophy.

Outside teaching, I continue engaging with mathematics through problem-solving, academic reading, and applied exploration. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because it equips students with clarity, confidence, and disciplined thinking that supports success across many areas of life.

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons focus on helping students understand logical relationships, patterns, and structures that underpin numerical reasoning. I guide learners through arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics by emphasizing conceptual clarity and step-by-step reasoning. Lessons are designed to help students understand why methods work, allowing them to approach problems with confidence rather than anxiety.

Lesson structure is tailored to the learner’s current level and objectives. Beginners receive patient guidance with number sense, foundational operations, and confidence-building exercises. Intermediate students strengthen algebraic manipulation, graphical interpretation, and multi-step problem-solving. Advanced learners focus on calculus applications, proofs, optimization techniques, and exam strategies. Each lesson includes guided examples, independent practice, and thoughtful feedback to reinforce understanding.
