About Zoe

My passion for Mathematics developed through a deep appreciation for logical structure and abstract reasoning. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics, where I strengthened both theoretical understanding and analytical discipline. Over 8 years of teaching experience, I have guided students through elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and early Calculus with a calm and supportive approach. I believe mathematics instruction should be patient and confidence-building. I take time to understand how students think and adapt explanations using visual models, stepwise reasoning, and real-life examples. I emphasize that mistakes are part of learning and encourage curiosity and persistence. Outside the classroom, I continue engaging with mathematics through problem-solving practice and educational research. Teaching Mathematics is meaningful to me because I consistently witness students overcome self-doubt. Helping learners realize their capacity to think logically and solve problems independently is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes clearer when students understand relationships between ideas rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons integrate elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, all taught through structured reasoning and conceptual clarity. I focus on helping learners build strong foundations, recognize patterns, and approach problems logically. Lessons emphasize step-by-step explanation, visual reasoning, and consistent practice to strengthen confidence.

Teaching methods are adapted to each learner’s stage. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, arithmetic accuracy, and basic problem-solving. Middle school math introduces geometry concepts, proportional reasoning, and foundational algebra. Advanced learners work on algebraic manipulation, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts, focusing on logical flow and exam preparedness. Practice problems and guided reflection reinforce understanding and reduce anxiety.

Mathematics lessons also develop persistence, attention to detail, and disciplined thinking. As learners gain confidence, they become more willing to tackle complex challenges independently. Many students begin to see mathematics as approachable and structured rather than intimidating. My goal is to help learners trust their reasoning, think clearly, and build skills that support success across academic subjects.
