I evaluate student performance based on interests, motivation, educational foundation (base knowledge) and work in an upward spiral pattern to guide the individual through successively more comprehensive lessons, building on their level of understanding. I use multi-media sources such as on-line learning games and challenge students with competitive tasks and brain-teasers. I like to keep learning an entertaining activity while being very focused and supportive. It should be a fun accomplishment and based in real world applications.
I am certified in Mathematics through 9th, have taught through 12th grade Algebra 2 , Trigonometry, and Geometry, as well as Science and Social Science courses, 6-12. I have also tutored at Elementary School level and briefly for College Entrance Exam in Mathematics.
Ten years in teaching per se, 5 years additional as a regular substitute in VCPS, and a mix of years tutoring for No Child Left Behind state-federal tutoring and tutoring for the Boys and GIrls Clubs of Volusia-Flagler.
