About Quinn Gabrielle
I am an upcoming senior and a Mathematics major at University of Massachusetts Boston. I am also in the Honors College as well as the UTeach Program, where I am honing my skills to become a better tutor/teacher.
Some of my experiences tutoring include:
- Tutoring college students one-on-one on Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Linear Algebra
- Tutoring high school students one-on-one on Precalculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Geometry.
- Working as an in-class tutor in a high school Algebra class
- Working as an in-class tutor in a college Precalculus class
- Working online via Zoom with high school students on Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus.

As a tutor, my role is not to teach students how to solve the problem, but to guide them and keep them on the right track. Mistakes are encouraged, as they are valuable teaching opportunities that only makes the student stronger.
I have been tutoring for 4 years, working with students ranging from middle school to college students. I have worked one-on-one with students, and in a large group setting such as in a classroom.
The Math subjects I tutor include: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.
I don’t follow a strict lesson plan, as they tend to be fluid with every student. However, I often focus on working with problems with students, as I believe students learn the most while actively solving on problems rather than just listening to a lecture. On that note, I also aim to build students’ skills to work independently and diligently—skills that students can carry on to achieve success in the future.
