About Vivienne

My interest in mathematics began with curiosity about patterns, structure, and logical problem-solving. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I developed strong theoretical and applied foundations. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students build confidence and clarity through structured instruction and consistent encouragement.

I believe effective mathematics teaching requires empathy and adaptability. I take time to understand each learner’s thinking process and adjust explanations accordingly. Visual models, real-world examples, and step-by-step reasoning are central to my approach.

Outside teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through continued study and application-based exploration. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because it empowers students with confidence, clarity, and logical thinking skills that support lifelong success.

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons are designed to help students develop a strong understanding of how mathematical ideas connect and support one another. I focus on arithmetic reasoning, algebraic structure, geometric relationships, trigonometry, calculus foundations, and introductory statistics. Each topic is introduced step by step, allowing learners to build clarity gradually and avoid confusion. Emphasis is placed on understanding reasoning rather than memorizing formulas.

Lessons are carefully tailored to each learner’s level. Beginners strengthen number sense, basic operations, and confidence through structured guidance. Intermediate students work on algebraic manipulation, graphical interpretation, and multi-step problem solving. Advanced learners focus on calculus applications, proofs, optimization, and exam preparation strategies. Each lesson includes guided examples, practice exercises, and detailed feedback.

Mathematics lessons also help students develop patience, focus, and analytical discipline. As understanding grows, anxiety decreases and confidence improves. My goal is to help learners approach mathematical challenges calmly and logically, both in academics and real-life problem-solving situations.
