About Scarlett
Experience:
- Over 2.5 years online tutoring
- Currently employed by my university as a Peer Tutor, providing
exam support and tutoring to 1st year undergraduate maths
students.
- Completed 2 Summer Studentships with my university focussed
on researching inclusive and accessible mathematics teaching.
Education:
- Mathematics MMath: Currently in my 4th year.
~ 1st year: 81%; 2nd year: 87%; 3rd year; 80%.
~ Awarded 3 school prizes, for outstanding academic
performance, contribution to student voice and overall
contribution to the school.
- A* in GCSE Maths
- No A-levels (Covid!) - although I achieved 97% on my
university's mathematics entrance test which was made to be
equivalent to A-level Maths and Further Maths.
I am incredibly passionate about mathematics and I love to share that passion with my students. I am experienced in working with a diverse range of students with varying learning styles and I am committed to accessible and inclusive teaching practices.
My own experience with education has been a roller coaster! I want from a 14 year old high school drop-out to being awarded a university prize for my academic performance in mathematics at a Russell Group university. Because of this I fiercely believe that anybody is capable of great things, and I have learnt a huge amount about education and study skills along the way.

My tutoring style is flexible and fully dependent on the needs of the student. I have a huge bank of lesson plans focussed around all major exam boards at all levels which can be adjusted to suit you!
