About David
I have been teaching Mathematics for the past 13 years and I majored in this very subject in college. I have received over a 90% pass success rate for first time state exam test takers before and my students have consistently improved their math scores each year that I have been teaching. I am considered an expert in my field and I would love to share that expertise with you! I will stay on topic and keep you motivated to improve in math.

Repetition! Repetition! Repetition!
I feel that the easiest way to learn math involves practicing different concepts REPEATEDLY in different ways. Focus on the 3 READS: First READ to understand the context. Secondly, READ to understand the math concept(s) involved in the question. Lastly, READ to generate a plan for solving the problem.
A typical lesson plan involves a real-life, relatable introduction, a concept explanation with definitions, notes, and example problems, working through problems together, and a review quiz at the end to check for understanding. Lessons will cover foundational concept review as well as growth factors needed to be successful at the next level.
As a tutor, I try to make my lessons as simple as possible. I try to translate proper explanations in to small, "digestible" portions that ANYONE can understand. If you want someone who can "A-B-C" the steps involved in understanding basic math concepts, I am your guy!
My lessons are for students from 6th to 10th grade. Whatever your math issues may be I will help you solve them. Please reach out to me so we can get started learning!
