About Lauren
Away from maths, I really enjoy cooking and eating out. I believe I was a chef in a past life with how much I love creating and experimenting with new dishes and flavours. I also enjoy working out and being active with running and cycling. I love going to the beach and laying out in the sun reading a good book.

Hello! My name is Lauren. I am from Sydney, Australia but just recently moved to Faro, Portugal.
I have been teaching mathematics for the last 5 years in Australia and have been privately tutoring for the last 12 years.
I have experience with the Australian Curriculum (7 -10 and HSC) but understand the similarities the UK curriculum has with Australia. Maths is universal of course!
My true passion lies in helping my students understand and love maths just as much as I love maths. I seek those 'ahh' moments with my students, telling me they finally understand the concept.
I have a Bachelor of Science with a major of mathematics and a Bachelor of Education with a major of secondary education.
I have been teaching Mathematics for the last 5 years and tutoring privately since 2014 in Sydney. I have taught students with a range of abilities starting from year 7 to year 12. I have experience teaching standard 1, standard 2 and advanced prelim and HSC courses in Sydney, Australia.
I’ll guide you to those exciting "ahh" moments, making maths not just understandable but enjoyable.
