My teachIn approach is straightforward. Most of the math tutoring and teaching places had iPods as sources for math lessons. Most children had background in Northern Virginia schools so was fortunate that kids were fairly proficient. Math understand in is done through doing problems. Could be called Socratic or dialogue method. Kids had problems ,you would help them. They would always do work. Show mistake and let them apply understanding.
