About Anu

For the past 17 years, I have had the joy of working with students and watching them grow not only academically, but also in confidence. Teaching has become much more than a profession for me. It is something I genuinely love.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics, and I work with students from Kindergarten through middle school, teaching Math, English, and ELA. I also teach English and Hindi as foreign languages to learners of all ages, including adults.

Over the years, I have learned that there is no single way to teach a student. Some children need concepts explained visually, some need things broken down into smaller steps, and others simply need someone to patiently encourage them until they believe in themselves. I take the time to discover what works for each student.

I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. There is never any judgment when a student says, “I don’t understand.” That is where learning begins.

What is most rewarding to me is seeing a student’s confidence change. A child who once felt frustrated by Math may eventually raise their hand and say, “I know how to do this!” Those moments are why I continue to love what I do.

My goal is simple: to help each student feel capable, confident, and proud of their own progress. I want my students to leave a lesson knowing a little more than they did when they arrived—and believing a little more in themselves, too.
