About Harlan
I have been teaching math for over 35 years. I have taught mostly in high school, covering every subject except calculus. I have also taught in a university in their degree completion program to potential teachers. I have taught in a Juvenile Detention Center, where I taught every level of math from 4th grade through pre-calculus. In all of the schools where I have taught, I was one of the most respected teachers in the department, as I was good at developing a rapport with my students. I have done extensive levels of tutoring also. I tutored online for AOL for about a year. I tutored in my home to students from kindergarten to college level.

I have taught all levels of high school mathematics except Calculus. I have taught college level mathematics to potential teachers. I have tutored students of all levels, from kindergarten to college statistics. For years I have had students telling me that I have a way of explaining math that makes it easier to understand than many other teachers.
