About Trustin

- Worked as a College Algebra math tutor for a little over a year. Provided help to 100+ students. During this time I mainly worked with college level students but I am willing to help students with high school level mathematics (geometry for example).
- Graduated with a BS from the University of Florida (number 1 public university of 2024 in the US according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ)) as an Electrical Engineer.

Tips for Passing Any Math Course:
- I've covered many math topics during my time as a fellow student. I've gone through geometry, college algebra, precalculus (w/ trigonometry), calculus 1, calculus 2, calculus 3, differential equations, and linear algebra. I've taken a lot of math courses and from personal experience, the best way to get through math is to put in the effort. For any given chapter in a math textbook write down all the formulas given. Try to understand the purpose of each formula. Sometimes the purpose isn't understood until you've gone through multiple examples showing how to use the formula. Go through multiple examples and try to understand the solution line-by-line, step-by-step. Then attempt a problem yourself. Continue working at problems until you are consistently getting the right answer. At that point is safe to assume you understand how to use that formula. Another type of problem students have difficulties with are word problems. These require reading the problem slowly to scan for any important details given. List out the important details given and what the question asks to find. Most of the time word problems require you use formulas from the chapter they take place in. As you read over a word problem try to consider the details given, what you are asked to find, and how any formulas from that chapter can fit the problem to help you determine a solution. Best of luck in your math courses!

Mathematics Coverage:
- Trigonometry
- Geometry
- Algebra (Polynomials, Inequalities, etc.)
- Calculus (Derivatives, Integrals, etc.)
- Linear Algebra (Matrices, etc.)

What Sets Me Apart As a Tutor:
- I will help you understand the process to your math problem.
- I work out problems step-by-step (unfortunately many math textbooks give subpar solution explanations where steps are skipped leading to confusion and frustration for students)
- Depending on the type of problem I will go over multiple examples similar to the problem in question to try and aid understanding.

Meeting:
- We can meet face-to-face at your home or a public place of your choosing ($30/hr) or online ($15/hr) over this Platform. Note, the price increase for face-to-face is due to gas expenses and time spent traveling. Send me a message about what topic you are wanting help with and what subtopic your questions cover.

Say something like,

"I am taking College Algebra and I need help understanding Exponential and Logarithmic functions."

or

"I am taking Calculus 1 and I need help understanding derivatives."

From there we can meet face-to-face or online at the time of your choosing and begin the lesson.

******** Please give me about an hour notice. ********

Availability:
- Whatever time you choose. (Preferably a reasonable time but I can go late into the night if necessary.)

How To Contact Me:
- Message me on SuperProf.
