About Émilie
I have always been fascinated by numbers, patterns, and problem-solving, which led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students develop understanding, reasoning, and confidence in mathematics. My approach focuses on clarity, patient explanation, and structured guidance, enabling learners to progress steadily while gaining both skill and self-assurance.
I employ interactive methods such as visual examples, step-by-step demonstrations, and problem-solving exercises tailored to each student’s level. I encourage independent thinking, reasoning, and questioning, helping students internalise concepts rather than memorise procedures. Lessons balance theory, practice, and critical reasoning to build both competence and confidence.
Outside the classroom, I keep up with mathematical research, problem-solving techniques, and new teaching strategies, bringing contemporary relevance and engaging examples into my lessons. Witnessing students grow from uncertain beginners to confident problem solvers who enjoy mathematics is immensely rewarding. Advanced students tackle complex multi-step problems, proofs, advanced calculus, and competition or exam preparation.
