About Aly
I am an Electronics Engineer with nearly ten years of experience in the electronics and software industry. After taking a career break to focus on motherhood, I remained actively involved in education as a parent-educator.
With a strong aptitude and long-standing interest in Mathematics, I began tutoring students over eight years ago. Since then, I have worked extensively with students from a wide range of international schools across Hong Kong and abroad, gaining valuable experience in supporting diverse curricula and learning needs.
I tutor all year groups including Further Pure, Advanced Math, IGCSE, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB and IB. For young school children I teach non-routine questions (olympiad style) that enhance thinking and problem-solving capabilities. I focus on their concepts and make sure these are well understood so that later they can apply them to solve different mathematical challenges.

My lessons are very customized depending on the student's level, the pace and content is adjusted to suit individual needs.
I provide some worksheets and also follow textbooks used by the student or I can follow books by Haese and Harris Publication for MYP and IGCSE years, International Mathematics by Pearson Education, New National Mathematics, etc. For Primary years I follow books published by Singapore Asian Publications.
My students come from various international schools to name a few - Hong Kong International School, Kellet, Nord Anglia, Hong Kong Academy, WIS, CDNIS, Island School, Bradbury, SIS, ISF, etc.
I provide one-on-one tutoring through online mode using a whiteboard app. My rates depend on year group and frequency of classes.
