About Autumn
My passion for mathematics grew from an appreciation for its logical beauty and real-world applications. This led me to complete an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I explored how mathematical models support science, engineering, and data analysis. Over 7 years of teaching, I have worked closely with students to help them replace frustration with clarity and confidence.
I believe effective math teaching requires patience, empathy, and adaptability. I focus on understanding how each student thinks and tailor explanations to their pace and learning style. By emphasizing reasoning over memorization, I help students develop lasting understanding rather than short-term recall.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring mathematics through problem-solving, applied modeling, and academic reading. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding to me because it empowers students with skills that strengthen logical thinking, decision-making, and confidence in both academic and everyday challenges.

Lesson structure is personalized to suit the learner’s level and objectives. Beginners receive patient guidance with foundational concepts, number sense, and structured practice. Intermediate students strengthen algebraic manipulation, graphical understanding, and multi-step problem solving. Advanced learners focus on proofs, optimization, calculus applications, and exam-oriented strategies.
