About Niyi
I am a 30 year old graduate from Birkbeck, University of London (Graduate Diploma Statistics) with a BSc Mathematics from The University of Manchester. Whilst studying in Manchester, I was tutoring Maths to GCSE students, as well as mentoring them with personal issues, and spent my last academic year as a PASS leader for the new prospective students in my discipline. I am patient, approachable, hardworking and aim to make lessons as interesting and fun as possible, especially in my favourite subject – Mathematics. In my spare time, I enjoy playing computer games, watching films, Taekwondo and spending time with friends and family.

I have always enjoyed and loved Mathematics from a young age, with years of Kumon Learning, achieving UK Mathematics Challenge Awards, to completing my Mathematics & Statistics Degrees at University.
Mathematics is a passion for me, not just through studying, but also through tutoring and supporting others. This has helped me to build a strong rapport with my students, and given me the flexibility to teach others, adapting to their own unique way of learning.
In terms of lesson structure, the first session with the students will feature a quick assessment based on what they are currently studying, and evaluate a schedule covering their strong areas, as well as areas that need improvement.
I like to use visual aids (graphs, diagrams, maps, and videos), as this way of learning makes it a lot easier for students to understand various topics and ideas, and prompts students to engage in discussions and open up with their opinions. If required, I can provide additional online support outside of regular session.
I enjoy helping my students to improve and feel proud of their achievements, whilst building a strong relationship, keeping them positive, and encouraging hard work and self - development.
I would like to play a big part in their success story & see the smile on their faces when they and achieve their goals!
