About Amara
I am a university Mathematics student with a strong academic record, having achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE and A* and A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at A-Level. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a deep understanding of these subjects, alongside the analytical and problem-solving skills required to excel at GCSE and A-Level. In addition to my examination success, I have won Physics and Chemistry competitions associated with Oxbridge universities, demonstrating both my passion for STEM subjects and my ability to apply knowledge beyond the classroom. My recent experience with these qualifications means I am familiar with current specifications, exam techniques, and the challenges students commonly face. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve their full academic potential.

I offer tutoring for students studying GCSEs (typically ages 14–16) and A-Levels (typically ages 16–18) in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether the focus is on building confidence, strengthening subject knowledge, improving exam technique, or achieving top grades. Every session includes clear explanations, worked examples, and exam-style practice questions to consolidate learning and monitor progress.
Alongside my studies as a university Mathematics student, I regularly volunteer to support fellow university students with their learning and have previously provided academic assistance to first-year college students during my time at college. These experiences have helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style that can be suited to a range of abilities. I am happy to work with any student seeking support at GCSE or A-Level, and where appropriate, I provide extension material and challenging problems to stretch understanding beyond the syllabus. Sessions are available in 1-hour or 2-hour formats to best suit the student's goals and learning preferences.
