About George
Maths has always been my favourite subject throughout school, and i found it very rewarding being able to help friends and classmates when they were struggling, for this reason I really enjoy tutoring and working with students.
Maths has a reputation for being difficult but I certainly don’t think this is the case! I think it’s just a matter of someone explaining things to you one to one in a simple and straightforward manor. I am here to be your maths agony aunt and help you in any way that I can. I’m very patient and will try to make our sessions fun and enjoyable.
When I’m not stuck in my room studying at university, I enjoy playing squash, going for walks, and going out with friends in the city. I am a member of various societies at university such as maths and cyber security and find these are a great way to meet new people and make friends when you go to uni!

Upon our first meeting we will start by going over the syllabus and highlighting any problem areas you have. Anything that you are struggling to understand, I will explain to you in a fresh perspective different to the one you have learnt in class in a simple easy to understand way and we will prioritise these areas until you have a concrete understanding of them.
Once you are feeling confident we will go through a variety of past exam paper questions together and I will provide you with any feedback I have on these.
I think the most important quality of a session is for it to be a fun, friendly and laid back environment as this is where anyone can thrive and achieve the best learning possible so please take as much time as you need during our sessions and feel free to ask me anything at all, remember I was in your position too once upon a time! If there is anything you are still struggling to understand please don’t sit and suffer in silence, do let me know and we will revisit the topic from a different angle that you may understand better.
