I am an 18-year-old high school senior and dedicated Mathnasium tutor with a 1550 SAT score. My strong academic background, especially in math, combined with real hands-on tutoring experience, allows me to effectively support students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
I genuinely enjoy working with younger students and have developed a patient, encouraging teaching style that builds confidence and makes learning enjoyable. I am an 18-year-old high school senior and experienced Mathnasium tutor with a 1550 SAT score. I specialize in making math fun and stress-free for Kindergarten through 8th grade students in NYC.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and highly interactive. I use games, visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-life examples to help younger students truly understand concepts instead of just memorizing them. For older elementary and middle school students, I focus on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and boosting confidence with homework and test preparation.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student is currently working on, followed by targeted practice on areas that need strengthening. We mix in fun math games or challenges to keep energy high, then end with a summary of what we learned and tips for home practice. Lessons are personalized to each child’s pace and learning style.
What sets me apart is my recent experience working directly with elementary and middle school students at Mathnasium, combined with my strong academic background. Being close in age to the students helps me connect with them easily and explain things in a way they understand.
