About Owen
My name is Owen and I'm 26, I'm from the Isle of Man and I studied economics and mathematics at university which has led to tutoring multiple students all of whom got the grades they were hoping for. In my personal life, I am very active where I love to travel and partake in a range of sports. In particular, I teach handstand classes among mobility work, et cetera. Not only have I tutored before, but I've worked at King Williams College, the only private school on the Isle of Man as a teaching assistant.

Firstly, we need to identify what areas need the most work - by going through a mock assessment and then going through each question together we will develop an understanding of where the student is currently at.
Following this, we set the expectations of each other in the tutor student relationship and apply that to the desired grades.
Then we will dissect each problem area, using example questions until the student feels confident, retesting those areas to ensure continued understanding and finally incorporate regular mock assessments to prepare the student for the final exam.
While teaching style is very relaxed and builds upon the initial expectations we set at the beginning of our time working together and my goal is to help the student understand the topic principles so that they can identify them in unfamiliarly worded questions.
I teach between GCSE and A-level for any level in maths or further maths
