About Jess
I am currently at university, studying psychology. I worked in a mainstream secondary school during my gap year and became a tutor in maths, English, biology, food and nutrition and PE for GCSE. During that year, I worked with a range of low and high ability students and have experience in tutoring SEN students. My aim is to get students to make progress while also getting them to engage and enjoy the subject they are learning. I also use to run a homework club where students would come to study and gain support.
Outside work and education, I enjoy playing badminton and rowing and often go to the gym.

I have an NTP in school led tutoring which enables me deliver small group and 1:1 tuition online and in school settings. This has given me the skills to tailor specific lessons to students with a large range of ability.
Typically a lesson will begin with a "starter task" or going through independent work and end with exam questions to measure progress. If the student wants to do a specific topic, we will do that; otherwise, we will work through the course chronologically.
I am available, outside lessons, if a students wants to email about a specific question that they are struggling with.
Lessons range between 50-110 minutes.
I offer lessons in maths and physical education for GCSEs and A level in PE.
I have an A* in maths and PE GCSE, A* in a level PE and B in a level maths.
