About Ralph
I am in my second year at university doing a course that I am really enjoying. I studied maths, chemistry, physics and further maths at sixth form. I achieved A* AAB respectively.
I have always enjoyed science and maths but I understand that for a lot of people that is not the case. I hope to share some of my passion and make the subjects more intuitive and fun for the student.
Aside from academics, I am big on sports. I mainly play football and tennis but have recently been trying a lot of new things.
I also have played the flute for a very long time and gone through the ABRSM grading system.

I learn through understanding not memorising; this is consequently how I like to teach. It is very important to know the motivation behind what you are doing but often this is not how STEM subjects are taught in schools. I also find pictures, diagrams and real world examples very helpful when learning something new which is why I often incorporate them into a lesson.
I have previous experience tutoring maths in person and online at GCSE level.
