About Steven
Tutoring has always been a lasting interest of mine - I began tutoring at age 15, whilst still in school. I found fulfilment in helping individuals become confident in their own abilities. I am passionate about Maths and Physics, and seeing someone reach a new level of understanding is a constant joy, and the reason I have kept tutoring all these years.
I have a 2:1 Degree in Physics from the University of Sheffield, and experience designing syllabi for different education needs and learning styles.

Having graduated from The University of Sheffield with a 2:1 degree in Physics and Philosophy, I am looking to use my knowledge and experience to help A-Level and University students. I have tutored many different students in the past, who each had their own unique learning styles and priorities. I pride myself in being a flexible and considerate tutor.
I would describe myself in three words as caring, patient and experienced. As a result of my extensive interest in Physics and Maths, I can find explanations and methods suited to any learning style, and adapt lessons to the students' individual needs.
My personal tutoring style involves a focus on building confidence, then leading on to an understanding of the material and academic intuition, which makes further learning easier and more fruitful.
Lessons would be between 45 and 60 minutes, preferably over Teams/Zoom. Breaks in the sessions are possible if the students need this.
