About Georgia
I’m Georgia, a maths, physics and chemistry tutor!
I offer in-person and online tutoring for GCSE, 11+ and Common Entrance, at £25 an hour.
I hold a full UK driving licence so if you live in the Buckingham / Northants area, I can come to you, no need to travel.
**I am SEND experienced and hold an enhanced DBS certificate**
I understand that you do not need to be a “natural” mathematician or scientist to succeed in these subjects. I’m passionate about making learning as enjoyable as possible and adapting my teaching methods to suit different styles of learning.
I’m a recent Year 13 leaver with 4 predicted A*s in A-level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
I achieved an A* in my EPQ titled “an experiment in a wind-tunnel: Rear wings or diffusers, which generates more downforce?”
I have an offer to read Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London this September.
Outside of academics, I am an Arkwright Engineering Scholar and also a keen cricketer, netballer and musician.

I understand that everyone’s needs are different.
I am flexible and try to make lessons as interactive as possible.
If I was tutoring physics and discussing the Doppler Effect, I might suggest a practical demonstration: using a speaker and running (mimicking the “nee-naw” of an ambulance) to show how the frequency of sound changes with the source’s relative velocity compared to a stationary observer.
I am always keen to teach students the “why” not just the “how”, and I champion the idea that you do not need to be a “natural” to succeed at a subject.
For exam success, I follow a 3 step approach:
- learn the content (ask as many questions as possible and feel comfortable around the material)
- open practice (let’s look at some example questions and see if there are any topics we should go over again)
- timed practice (to mimic the pressure of exam conditions)
