About Adam
Having a maths tutor at GCSE and A-Level played a huge part in my pursuing the subject further in a mechanical engineering degree and then masters, so i'm looking to come full circle and help others in a similar position realise their mathematical potential.
I've tutored before both formally at KS3 and GCSE, and informally helping my younger sister through GCSE and A-Level maths (still no thank you though). These sessions varied from helping with understanding homework to exam prep to just discussing interesting related maths ideas to increase confidence, so any approach that you think will be interesting and useful can be tried.
Growing up in Cambridge, attending Parkside and then Hills Road, means I'm familiar with the expectations as well as the marking systems and curriculum (which have changed slightly but not drastically) from GCSE through to A-level.
Its been my experience that the best teachers are the ones that remember what it was like to learn the material for the first time, which I believe I do and I hope to use that to help you learn in any way I can.
