I am a Maths Masters (postgrad) student studying at Cardiff. I have a first class BSc in Maths and A* and A grades in Maths and Further Maths A-Levels respectively. I have a year's experience tutoring maths specifically, and I work as a maths-specialist cover teacher in the local area. I have further experience working with young people (ages 15-17) as an art teacher and as a Senior Mentor - nevertheless I am happy to offer lessons to anyone of secondary school age (year 7) and up!

I offer one-to-one and group sessions, though students will have to come forward as a group in order for me to run a group session. Please note that it is expected that I will come to your home to tutor, or I can offer online tutoring.

I offer various styles of tutoring to help each individual with their unique needs and cater my sessions to an individual's learning style.

In my experience I've found 3 main types of student seeking out tutoring - those who know which topics they need help with, those who don't know which topics they need help with but know they need some extra help, and those who just want that extra revision to help ensure they achieve their desired grades. Whichever category you or your child fall in, I can tailor my sessions to suit your personal needs and learning style!

I can work alongside a student's normal teaching program to offer an extra lesson each week, giving the student the one-on-one (or at least in a small group) support that usual teaching lacks in. This is particularly effective in building confidence and tackling issues as they arise to nip any misunderstandings in the bud!

Alternatively, I can develop a teaching program tailored for each student (or group) for them to get ahead of the game and learn new things, or to revise topics the student already have some grasp of.

So whatever the students needs, I will be able to boost their confidence and help them to achieve the grades they deserve!

Details

Cancellation policy: I require 48 hours notice of cancellation, otherwise I have to charge a £5 fee.
Note that if you are receiving my discounted rates for students in need, this fee is waived BUT 3 cancellations without 48 hour warning within 1 year means that I unfortunately will no longer be able to tutor the student.
