About William
I recognise that Maths isn't for everyone, and relish the opportunity to unlock an enthusiasm for the subject in those who do not yet have it. In other words, I hope to inspire students to re-evaluate their relationship with Mathematical problems, to begin to see them as captivating puzzles that one works through methodically and enjoyably, like a workout for the mind, as opposed to intimidatingly huge mountains to climb.

My one-to-one (or sometimes one-to-two) one-hour lessons are designed to provide extra support and focus around any topics within the Maths GCSE syllabus that students are perhaps struggling with, or would like extra help with alongside regular classroom lessons. Would also suit any students, of whatever age, who are re-taking Maths GCSE and who need to improve their skills & knowledge within certain subject areas. I have a Maths degree and have taught Maths GCSE on and off since I graduated. Outside of Maths, I have extensive experience working with young people in supportive settings and have been trained in Safeguarding, Mental Health & other related support-based areas.
