About Jamila
I like working in a role where I can work and interact with people to help them become more confident and capable in Maths as it is an important subject but one that some might find hard and give up on. It helps to know that helping students to achieve their goals that might affect their future.
I also like working to teach Maths as it is a subject that I enjoy. This is because of the logic and problem solving but I also found fascinating when I studied more in depth at university and explored some of the history of Maths.

I have a friendly and enthusiastic approach with students with lots of positive reinforcement. My approach involves explanations of mathematical concepts and then lots of exercises and practice for the student. There is not one but many ways of approaching a mathematical problem and it can help for the student to approach problems in different ways. My tuition is tailored to my students pace and capabilities.
I have a good mathematical knowledge from my degree in Maths that I achieved with first class honors. I also have lots of experience in educational methods from work experience in schools, tuition centres and TES.
I am passionate on helping students to become more confident and achieve the exam results they aimed for. Typical length of a lesson is 90 minutes.
