About Jane

Hi! I’m Jane, a qualified secondary school Math teacher with several years of classroom experience. I’m passionate about helping students build both their mathematical skills and confidence. I aim to make lessons relaxed, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they’re looking to catch up, prepare for exams or push themselves further. I’m particularly experienced in working with students who lack confidence in Math and my biggest area of strength is breaking down complex concepts and ideas into small chunks which we will gradually build upon to prevent the sense of being overwhelmed.

About the lesson

I have a PGCE in secondary education (a UK teaching qualification required to teach high school maths). I have 7 years of teaching experience in a highly rated school in North of England and I am confident in teaching HSC level maths. My lessons are typically an hour long, and focus on improving foundational knowledge and developing depth of understanding in order to equip students with the skills needed to apply their knowledge to exam style questions.
