About Alan
I’m a 32-year-old Maths & Science educator with over 15 years of experience teaching both at university level and in private tutoring settings. I've also worked in interactive science museums, and in different maths popularizing events. I'm passionate about science and the cosmos, I believe maths and physics let us tap into a deeper reality, which we can (begin) to comprehend with our minds. Maths has long been taught as a boring subject, answering questions students never asked themselves, and which most grow to dislike. I teach maths in an intuitive and dynamic manner, using examples as well as a visual approach, to tear down the halo of unapproachability and get to know maths, physics, and the universe as it actually is: infinite yet understandable, complex yet simple. My approach is anything but traditional—I believe learning should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student’s rhythm and real-world needs. I make sure students feel confident, challenged, and supported. Originally from Argentina, I’ve taught across a wide range of contexts—from university lecture halls to volunteering in communities in the slums of Buenos Aires. That experience taught me to connect with students from all backgrounds and to explain complex ideas in simple, creative ways.

Hi! I’m a 32-year-old Maths & Science educator with over 15 years of experience teaching both at university level and in private tutoring settings. I offer online tutoring sessions for individuals or groups, especially for university or secondary students that need help with maths & physics. My approach is anything but traditional: I believe learning should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student’s rhythm and real-world needs. For online tutoring sessions, you would see (and hear) me, as well as see the screen of my iPad, where I’d be writing equations, graphs, and every important aspect of the class. I have a dynamic approach to teaching, and visual learning is very important. At the end of the class, I will send you a pdf with all what was written. Of course, you can also record the class if you choose. In person tutoring sessions also available around Gold Coast (QLD) or Northertn Rivers (NSW).

I have studied math together with Alan at university, he has an impressive ability to understand even the most complex concepts and explain them in a way so they feel much easier. I know I can trust him when I don’t understand something, he’ll have the right answer and he’ll be able to explain it to me so I understand it too. Thank you for always being my go-to math teacher ️
I have known Alan for approximately ten years, having first met him during my undergraduate studies in Buenos Aires. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in mathematical physics at the University of Edinburgh, and throughout the years, whenever I’ve needed to revisit or truly understand a topic in school or undergraduate level mathematics, Alan has always been my go-to person. I don’t know anyone who can explain mathematical concepts more clearly or intuitively than he does.
