About JOYANTO
I currently work as an Electronic Engineer, having obtained an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester. I also took Maths at both GCSE (achieved A*) and A Level (achieved A).
Throughout university I tutored GCSE Mathematics students. For one student I acted as their sole teacher for Mathematics (the student was home-schooled) so I am used to explaining concepts from a very fundamental perspective. I have also tutored my two younger brothers throughout their Maths GCSE and A Level, with both of them achieving an A* (Grade 9 equivalent) at GCSE. I can also provide support for students preparing for the 11+ exam, having sat and passed the exam myself and helping two students to pass the exam also.

I believe in taking as much time as necessary to ensure that the student understand the underlying principle as well as the methodology. In my experience, students have excelled when, for example, the understand what a fraction represents alongside the method behind adding and subtracting them. I use simple diagrams to better explain concepts, followed by examples. I will go through some examples to show the method then allow the student to work through some on their own, providing support only when necessary, to encourage them to work through problems themselves.
