About Timilehin

My name is Timilehin. I've been tutoring students for a while now, so I'm used to explaining tricky ideas to people at all sorts of levels and finding the angle that finally makes it land. I hold a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Software Engineering, which I passed with Distinction.

Maths has been part of my life every day since school, through both degrees and the technical work I do now. I'm patient, I explain things more than once if that's what it takes, and I don't make anyone feel silly for not getting something first time.

I'm reliable with timekeeping, I turn up prepared, and I'll be honest with you about progress. I hold a full UK driving license and have my own car, so traveling to lessons is no problem.

About the lesson

I hold a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Software Engineering (Distinction), so maths isn't something I learned once and forgot. I still use it daily, and that's usually the thing that makes it click for students: seeing where it actually goes.

Lessons are built around you. I'll start by finding out what you already know and where things fall apart, then work through problems together rather than lecturing at you. Most sessions are a quick recap, a worked example or two, then you doing the work while I steer. I set a bit of practice between lessons and we go over it next time.

I teach GCSE and A-Level maths, statistics, arithmetic and calculus, plus adults returning to study or prepping for tests.

I have a full license and my own car, so I can travel to you, or we can do it online if that's easier.
