About Tom
I am a teacher of Maths at the Bluecoat School, an Outstanding school in Oldham but I am based in Linthwaite. I currently teach a mixture of KS3, KS4 (Higher and Foundation) and KS5. I am relatively new to private tutoring; however I have lots of experience in school based tuition and have previously had one tutee who, despite her target of a 5, achieved a grade 6.

My teaching method is based upon metacognition, this essentially results in constant evaluation from myself and self evaluation. This enables students to go through a constant period of reflection and development and is a crucial skill to instill as early in development as possible as it is a key skill in further education.
