About Shaurya
I have twelve years of experience teaching Math, helping learners of all ages and levels develop both understanding and self-assurance. I emphasize patience, clarity, and adaptability, ensuring students feel supported at every step of their learning journey. My Maths lessons integrate topics such as geometry, middle school math, SAT math, algebra, and elementary school math in a dynamic, student-focused way. I begin by strengthening foundational skills including number sense, arithmetic operations, fractions, ratios, and reasoning patterns. Each lesson emphasizes understanding the logic behind solutions, helping students develop both competence and confidence in approaching problems. Step-by-step explanations and guided practice ensure that learners grasp each concept thoroughly before moving on.
As students progress, we delve into algebraic reasoning, multi-step problem-solving, geometric applications, and exam-specific strategies such as those needed for SAT preparation. I focus on developing critical thinking, pattern recognition, and independent problem-solving skills. Lessons incorporate practical examples and contextual applications to make mathematical concepts meaningful and engaging.
Advanced sessions focus on combining multiple concepts, tackling complex problems, and building long-term problem-solving strategies. Students learn to think methodically, evaluate multiple approaches, and apply reasoning across varied contexts. My goal is to create an environment that fosters skill development, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to approach mathematics with clarity and resilience.
