About
I’m a final-year Mechanical Engineering Master’s student (currently holding a First) with a strong passion for maths and helping students build confidence and skills beyond just exam success. Through my experience as a STEM Ambassador, I have taught maths and engineering to over 130 students aged 11 to 18, including challenging groups. This has helped me develop adaptable teaching methods tailored to each student’s individual needs. My approach to tutoring focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, using real-world examples whenever possible to make maths engaging and relevant. I believe learning should be enjoyable and confidence-boosting, so I strive to create lessons that are both supportive and fun. I am DBS checked and committed to providing a professional and safe learning environment. The areas of maths I specifically teach include: ● all primary level maths ● GCSE and Additional Maths (GCSE) Achievements: ● Awarded the AWE Engineering Scholarship for excellence in STEM and mathematical application ● NASA National UKSDC-winning team, demonstrating advanced problem-solving and mathematical modelling skills competing against 50 UK teams ● Recipient of the ETA Engineering University Team of the Year 2024 award for developing innovative solutions to improve diversity in engineering

Homework is included with lessons, which I mark and provide detailed feedback on as part of the price, helping reinforce learning between sessions. My typical lesson lasts one hour, giving enough time to introduce new topics and practise exam-style questions. However, I’m happy to offer longer, two-hour sessions if you prefer more intensive support. I use a mix of: ● Practice with real exam questions to develop problem-solving skills ● Regular review and feedback to track progress and target improvement areas ● Patience and encouragement to create a supportive and fun learning environment! I’m a final-year Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering (First-Class), with experience in STEM outreach at schools and private tutoring. I am also DBS checked, ensuring a safe and professional setting. I tutor maths at any level up to GCSE, supporting students aged around 13 to 18. Whether you want to strengthen your foundation, improve your grades, or prepare for exams, I tailor each lesson to your goals.
