About Maris
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I specialise in introducing advanced high school and early university students to mathematical logic and proof theory. My teaching focuses on formal reasoning, propositional and predicate logic, and foundational set theory. My teaching approach in Mathematics is highly structured, focusing on building strong foundations before moving to advanced concepts. I work closely with students who aspire to become actuaries or problem solvers, tailoring my guidance to match their goals. I focus on developing problem-solving skills alongside theoretical knowledge. Every session is adapted to the student’s pace, ensuring concepts are understood deeply and lastingly. I encourage curiosity and independent thinking, helping students approach challenges with confidence.
