Hi, I’m Emily! I love helping students see that math can make sense and even be enjoyable. I focus on building confidence, encouraging questions, and breaking problems into simple steps so learning feels achievable. With years of experience tutoring and babysitting, I know how to make lessons supportive and fun while keeping them productive. My goal is for students to not only get the answers but really understand the concepts behind them, leaving each lesson feeling confident and capable in their math skills.

Lessons usually last 30–60 minutes, depending on the student’s attention span. I focus on going through homework while helping students truly understand the root of each question, not just memorise patterns, so learning feels easier and more natural. Having recently completed NCEA Level 2 Calculus, I’m familiar with how tests are structured and the NZ maths curriculum. My lessons are for primary and early secondary students, aiming to build confidence, strengthen skills, and make maths a subject they feel comfortable and capable in!
