About Roisin

Friendly tutor to help get your kids on top of the curriculum! Having experienced first hand the difference good maths tutoring can make, i'm keen to help those kids who need, or would benefit from a bit extra.

I was failing my AS level maths when my parents brought in a tutor, I ended up not only "getting it" but I fell in love with all things algebra and equations and ended up getting an A, and then again at A level. I then went on to study Physics at university. I spent nights in my room studying complex algebra, not because I had to, but because I loved the process of solving equations.

Whilst I switched from Physics to Exploration & Resource Geology at university, and have since worked as a consultant to both the mining and renewable energy sectors, I still have a profound love of mathematics and spend my free time time solving equations to wind down. I am also proficient at excel thanks to its use of core algebraic functions.

I would love to pass the passion on or at least help kids get on top of the basics so they have a fighting chance.
