About the lesson

I'm a playwright/TV writer with thirty years of experience. My tutoring is geared to the individual. I start with how to: develop the basic idea, choose characters, create a structure, build tension; how to get your thoughts down in a meaningful way; how to finish your first draft and most importantly HOW TO REWRITE: offering practical solutions; how to recognize the problem areas and fix them.

About Justin

I'm a playwright/TV writer with over thirty years experience.
My first play was mounted in Los Angeles in 1987 and since then I've written 22 produced plays that have had productions in LA, New York, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Charlotte N.C.
I wrote for "My So Called Life" and was story editor on "Gilmore Girls"; I was under contract in comedy development at Universal for three years; and have written and directed 88 episodes of a web series (cult-favorite "Ave 43" available on YouTube). My consulting business "Justin's Notes" has successfully guided dozens of clients to finish their manuscripts.
