About Maverick
My name is Maverick Hunter, and I'm not a natural swimmer. I learned late, struggled with panic, and spent years avoiding pools out of shame. That's exactly why I became an instructor. For the last 5 years, I've taught adults who thought they'd never learn — people in their thirties, forties, fifties, and beyond. I'm certified in water safety, CPR, and first aid. But my real credential is that I've been exactly where you are. My students trust me because I don't pretend swimming is easy. It's not. But it's also not magic. It's technique, repeated until it becomes instinct. I've watched terrified beginners go from clinging to the edge to swimming across the deep end. Not because I was soft with them — because I was clear, patient, and never let them quit. With me, you won't learn fancy strokes you'll never use. You'll learn to be safe, confident, and calm in the water. And that's enough.

Hi, I'm Maverick Hunter. I've taught swimming for 5 years, and I don't use floaties, water wings, or false reassurance. I use clear instruction and steady repetition. If you're an adult who never learned, I know exactly what you're feeling — embarrassed, frustrated, and convinced everyone is watching. They're not. And even if they were, who cares? We start with the wall. Then breath control. Then letting go for one second. Then two. We build trust in the water slowly, honestly, without pretending fear doesn't exist. I teach you to float on your back first — because panic stops when you realize you won't sink. Then we add kicking, arm movement, and finally coordinated freestyle. I also teach basic treading water and how to handle unexpected situations like a cramp or a wave. You won't get a participation medal. You'll get the ability to swim.
