About Maverick
My name is Maverick Hunter, and I've been competitive since my first junior tournament. I've won matches I shouldn't have, lost matches I should have won, and learned something from all of them. For the last 5 years, I've coached recreational players who want to stop losing to the same person, high school players trying to crack the lineup, and adults who took up tennis late and want to catch up fast. I'm not the coach who sugarcoats or tells you every shot was beautiful. You'll know when you hit a bad shot — and you'll know exactly how to fix it. My students trust me because I respect their time and their goals. I've helped frustrated intermediates finally develop a reliable second serve, nervous players stop double-faulting under pressure, and aggressive hitters learn when to dial it back. With me, you won't just hit around. You'll actually improve — every single session.

Hi, I'm Maverick Hunter. I've coached tennis for 5 years, and I don't believe in hour-long feeding drills where you never have to think. You want to get better? You need to practice with purpose. My lessons focus on three things: repeatable technique, smart decision-making, and staying calm when points matter. We'll break down your serve, forehand, backhand, and volley until the mechanics feel automatic. Then we add movement patterns, shot placement, and handling different pace and spin. But I also teach the mental side — how to reset after a bad miss, how to read an opponent's tendencies, and how to stop beating yourself. I'm not here to be your friend. I'm here to make you a better tennis player. That means honest feedback, clear corrections, and pushing you just past your comfort zone.
