About Luis

I am originally from Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula, and have been a guide for more than 15 years. I love to work in collaboration with the communities of the Mayan villages of the Yucatán. I am involved in many different social and cultural projects. I have a degree in anthropology, a naturalist guide diploma, and training as a beekeeper! I would be delighted to share my passions with you, in Spanish of course!

About the lesson

My teaching method is based on conversational exchange. The key to mastering a language is to practice it frequently in the spoken word. I obviously adapt to different levels, and will cover more or less complex subjects, depending on what is important to you.
¡ Hasta pronto!

Luis use an excellent language learning service. I have tried a few different applications in the past and it is much better, it gives a more useful dialog to help you when you are in a Spanish speaking country, like asking for things, how much they cost, directions, etc. and builds more conversational learning. I mean, why would I need to start with sentences as "if the cat is calm" (like other apps) ? It started sticking with me so much sooner too. Just a fantastic way to have fun while you learn !
