About Sonalin
I'm Sonalin, a digital marketing professional with 8 years of experience across performance marketing, growth strategy, and client management at Amazon, FairMoney, and Wipro.
I hold an MBA in International Business from IIFT Delhi, with a major in Marketing & Finance, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT Rourkela — a combination that's shaped the way I teach: I care as much about the data and logic behind a campaign as I do about the creative and strategic thinking driving it.
Teaching, for me, grew naturally out of mentoring. Throughout my career, I've trained new team members on platforms and client communication, and led coaching programs for cross-functional leaders — and I found I genuinely enjoyed those moments more than almost anything else in my job. There's something rewarding about watching someone go from confused by a dashboard to confidently explaining their own campaign results. That's the experience I want to bring to my students — practical, real-world marketing knowledge, taught the way I wish someone had taught me when I was starting out.

I believe digital marketing is best learned the same way it's practiced — through real campaigns, real data, and real decisions, not just theory. Over 8 years, I've managed performance marketing budgets ranging from $700K/month at a fintech company to ₹50 Cr in annual ad revenue at Amazon. I bring that same hands-on, data-first thinking into every class. Rather than just explaining what a metric means, I show students how I've actually used it to make a budget decision, win a stakeholder argument, or fix a failing campaign.
My goal isn't just to help you understand digital marketing — it's to get you comfortable enough to run a real campaign, read its results, and explain your reasoning to someone else, whether that's a manager, a client, or your own business.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
Learn by doing — Every concept is paired with a live, practical exercise: setting up a real (or sandbox) campaign, analyzing an actual dataset, or auditing a real brand's ad strategy
Case-study driven — I draw directly from real campaigns I've run at Amazon, FairMoney, and Wipro, including what worked, what didn't, and why
Build-as-you-learn — Students leave each module with something tangible: a campaign brief, a media plan, a performance report, or a portfolio piece
Question-first teaching — I ask students to think through "why" before I explain the "how," so the learning sticks rather than becoming rote memorization
Usual Class Structure
Quick recap & goal-setting (5 min) — what we covered last time, what we're building toward today
Concept walkthrough with a real example (15–20 min) — explained using an actual campaign or dataset, not a generic slide
Hands-on practice (20–25 min) — the student applies the concept directly, with me guiding in real time
Review & feedback (10 min) — we look at what was built, troubleshoot together, and set up the next session's focus
For group sessions, this structure stays largely the same, with added peer discussion and comparison of approaches — useful for sparking ideas and simulating real team brainstorms.
What Makes My Classes Different
I'm not teaching from a textbook — I bring my experience of Client Solutions Manager at Amazon Ads, so the strategies, tools, and examples I share are current, not outdated.
I've worked across the full funnel — paid social, performance marketing, SEO/ASO, GTM strategy, and client-facing reporting — so I can tailor lessons toward whichever specialization a student is aiming for
I've trained and mentored junior team members throughout my corporate career, so I'm used to adjusting explanations based on how someone learns best, not just repeating the same script
I emphasize stakeholder communication as much as execution — knowing how to explain your strategy and defend your numbers is often what separates a good marketer from a hireable one
Who My Classes Are For
1) College students / freshers wanting a practical, job-ready foundation in digital marketing beyond what's taught in a classroom
2) Small business owners / entrepreneurs who want to run their own paid campaigns confidently, without depending entirely on an agency
3) Anyone preparing for marketing interviews or certifications (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads) who wants real-world context, not just exam answers
