About Carson
I'm a McGill graduate with an M.Sc. in Biomechanics and Neuroscience. I'm known for being patient, approachable, and skilled at breaking down complex ideas into something manageable. Whether I’m working with young learners or university students, I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs and focus on building confidence and genuine understanding. Not long ago, I was in the same spot as many of the students I teach. I know how important it is to approach math and science in a way that works for the individual. I’m a product of brilliant educators and tutors who helped me develop the skills I now aim to pass on to others in STEM. I love learning science and math — and I’m confident I can help students find enjoyment in the subject, or at the very least, in the confidence and grades that come with progress.

Are you looking for support in math or science? I might be a great fit if you're not just looking for answers, but want to truly understand the material, learn how to study, and feel more confident in class. Just like learning a language, math and science have their own structure, and I aim to help students of all ages feel fluent in them by learning how to learn.
I specialize in tutoring math and science, subjects I’ve studied and taught extensively. As a graduate researcher and TA at McGill University, I’ve led courses in biomechanics and motor development, helping students master concepts in physiology, data analysis, scientific methods, and academic writing.
I’m also confident working with younger learners, as young as Grade 1 students. I bring a patient, adaptable approach — especially helpful for students who struggle in math or science. I focus on teaching students how to break down problems and build strong foundations.
Here’s what I’m best at:
University students: Kinesiology (biomechanics, physiology, anatomy, nutrition), statistics, physics, scientific writing, study and exam prep. - Not sure if this applies to you? just ask!
High school students: Sciences (especially biology and kinesiology), math (functions, statistics, algebra), and university prep.
Young students: Foundational math and science, reading word problems, building confidence and clarity
Whether you're in high school, CEGEP, or university, I’ll meet you where you’re at — and help you understand the “why” behind what you’re learning.
Not sure if we’re the right fit? Let’s connect and talk through your goals — we’ll figure it out together.
